The material of the tube is PVC plastic, which is the best suitable PVC material for food contact applications. DeLaval PVC tubes are completely round, good quality basic tubes. PVC tubes attach easily to milk lines. Once attached, the tube stays attached with a firm grip. To ensure the tubes fit easily onto the nipple, place tube ends in warm water, approximately 40 - 50°C (104 - 122°F) for about 5 - 10 minutes. Available in mostly transparent material for visible milk flow. Most PVC tubes are available in a transparent material with two blue stripes to signal the food contact compliance for milk tubes. The twin air/pulse tube has one blue stripe. For the FDA countries, the PVC tubes may be without stripes.
